Would you post the synopsis of your work in order to draw an audience?

I guess this is aimed almost solely at the members wanting to write films or television; but my question is this.

I working on a net TV show due to begin broadcasting in a few months, to try and drive up the audience and get people interested in it clearly I was considering posting the episode synopsis on fiction writers websites and present them as short stories.

The idea here is that when the show airs any fans will then watch the show and comment on characters, plotlines, basically the same way they do now.

What do people think?
