How To verify my blog using html file?

It's that I got a another blog and want to verify that blog so that google will cral through my blog... I tried the meta tag method. but it's not working. Once I have added the the meta tag right after the "head" tag and save it, I get an error message saying that, it cannot be saved as there's wrong with the xml section.. So I changed the the option to verify using html file.. For that I need to upload the file the link should be like :http://picknchoozurjob.blogspot.com/thefilename.html I have no idea how to do that. You cannot upload html files in blogger... So how to verify a blog using html file. Google Page Creator is not accepting new sign ups. I tried some online serve hosting and uploaded the file to link , but no use... Any ways guys????? Need a solution for this? Feel n
