What do you prefer, Dogs or Cats.

I had dogs years ago and loved them completely. One was a St. Bernard named Gypsy, and the other was a Gordon Setter named Pepper. Both have since went to doggie heaven and I'm sure they are still running around having a good time.

Then I moved to an apartment and had no pets for quite some time, and they didn't allow dogs. So now, I have a cat named Kashmere (see Avatar) who is 17 years old. I have to say, I never liked cats until I adopted two of them, Kashmere being one, and her sister Tyler. They were on their way to the animal pound. My two daughters talked me into saving them and I'm sooooo happy I did! The one has died, her name was Tyler, from kidney failure but was with me for twelve years. Now I have Kash who is my best friend. So, I guess right now although I love dogs too, I'd have to say cats.

I love dogs more than anything. they are really sensible & loving than any other animals. so I prefer dogs more. I had a dog long back, but since then I never had the chance to own one. may be in future I'll have one hopefully.

I like both animals as my pets. Dog are man best friend and cats are ladies pets. The differences between the two are in terms of intelligence and a matter of obedience. I observe dogs pets are more easy to teach instructions and could be train in a short time. More obedient, affectionate, trusted, playful and loyal guard to her man friends. While cats is more preferred by ladies and only fewer men prefers to raise cats. Cats are likely more aggressive and attention seeker. Both pets are affectionate but their differ also in terms of their hygiene. What very bad about cats over feeding leads them to become greedy and worse they scratch things all over the house. The worse is the smell of cats feces and they hard to discipline to remind them the place where they have to do their things, you have to repeat, it even their own names for them to recall..The good things about cats in the homes, mice are afraid of them..While dogs get more good memories and you could teach them easily with new tricks. Then, cats always like comforts and sleep all the time..This is what I observe with the behavior of cats and dogs..

Of course i prefered dogs. Dogs is more loyal than cat, and i think cat (much possibility than dog) bring such a virus which can be dangerous for human( toxoplasma for example)

Given the choice, I would prefer dogs, as they appear more loyal and faithful to me and could be taught many things, in comparison to cats. One of my friends had doga and cats as pets but he would complaint that sometimes cats used to run away from his house and will return, only when they require food, they were not as loyals, as dogs were.

Hello sonz_doreen, That is great that you have both dog and cat. Since you are keeping this 2 animals, which one you thinks is the best to be humans best friend?
As for me, I don't keep any dogs or cats before. I dislike keeping pet as it is not easy to keep the pets and you need time to take care of the, feed them and play with them. I have 2 kids now, it is not easy bringing up 2 kids hence I never think of want to keep any pets at this moment.
But my 3-year-old daughter loves dogs. She sometimes asks me to buy a pet dog for her. I think when she grow older and know how to take care of herself and able to looks after the pets, then I will decide to buy a dog for her.

Cats. I have 3 cats!

I like dogs and cats very much and they are very cute to see.In my home i have one pet dog and one cat i have brought them from my relation house and everyday i took care about them and whenever i went outside i will keep them in a safe place.So In my opinion i prefer cats and i love them very much.
