The heretic rears its ugly..

I put this into philosophy because I feel it deals not so much in theology as in observation..
Here's the thought..(I'll say) many of the nontheological folks I've gotten into discussion with tend to think of themsleves as being logical/intellectual folks who, by way of this logic/intellect, convince themselves and try to convince me that God does not exist..That hell does not exist..
I, being the heretic I am, observe that this attitude is instead an emotional response dealing with the whimsey of the believer..
I contend that it logical/intellectual to believe that there is someone beyond our flawed limitations and in the worst that can happen (winding up in a place with lousy accommodations, no windowseats and lousy climate for an awfully long time) AND
find that its not there than to be obstinant and choose not to believe only to find yourself to face with someone you figured wasn't there and winding up somewhere you'd rather not be..
I know opinions abound! What's yours?

I agree that to denial the existence of God cannot be logically arrived at, yet as a believer myself, neither can the existence. Good philosophical arguments exist for both God's existence and his non-existence.
