We've all heard the tragic stories before...two pit bulls thrown together only to shred each other to bits. Idiot adults and teens gambling on which dog will "win". The sheer horror of dog fighting is terrible. Even worse, think about over 400 dogs, mostly pit bulls, in this exact situation. Sadly, that's what was happening in EIGHT different states in the Midwest...that is until a couple weeks ago. The Humane Society of Missouri recently published an update stating that over 400 canines were rescued by federal and local officials in the biggest dog fighting raid ever in the US. Several rescue groups will be joining them shortly to help care for these dogs until the judge makes his decision.
