Can anyone share with the rest what was the worst computer virus experience that you had encountered. For me, it happen few years back when my office PC was really slow due to the memory problems. So in one of my the instances where I was opening my emails, I accidently press twice the 'enter' while trying to get to my email. Possibly that was when I had open a virus-infected file attached to the email. It was the Chernobyl virus. My PC when slower after that as there was something happening in the background. The next thing I discovered was all my file was wipe out into zero-size files. As all my file was not backup during that time, it really gave me a shock in my life. Any experience on that guys?

My worst one was the Windows Antivirus one, it would not go away and kept directing me to that stupid website. Fortunately, MalwareBytes and Windows Security Essentials got rid of it.

I had a bad experience with the SpyFalcon "false spyware scanner program" it works by alerting you that your computer is infected and advises that you install SpyFalcon antispyware removal program in doing so I ended up installing viruses and tons of spyware when I checked the desktop there were also shortcuts to websites i've never visited before and it was resistant to removal and always found a way to reinstall itself i ended up having to take the hard drive out of my desktop and using a 3.5 hard drive enclosure hook it up to another computer to scan for and remove spyware and viruses and then load it back into the computer so that when I restarted the computer the virus would not show up again since i was viewing the contents of the infected drive as well... a drive!

I did not really have a bad computer virus attack my computer. The worst I had was a virus that makes your Windows XP shutdown each time you go online. It was more annoying than harmful. I downloaded the windows update for this virus, whose name I do not remember from another computer and patched the infected one.
