What is your opinion about the use and disposal of Plastic bags ????

Today I had to attend a function in the city. After the lunch we three friends were sitting and chatting outside the hall. The place was in the middle of a residential area. We noticed all around the houses a lot of plastic wastes. It has been thrown carelessly. In India some states, the use of Plastic covers are banned. This plastic covers is a threat to our environment. It is necessary to ban the use of plastic covers .I think most of the countries - atleast developed - banned the usage of plastic covers. What is your opinion about the use and disposal of plastic bags.

Well i think there should be a total ban on the selling and usage of plastic bags there should be some disposable and recyclable bags which are of no harm to use, in my country there is a ban on plastic use but still i can see somewhere people using plastic bags they are just so much used to it that they cannot do without it.
