How do you make pan cakes??

Ah yes, pancakes, an american favorite, love these things. The problem is, I don't know if you guys have maple syrup available in India, REAL maple syrup, not the fake commercial stuff. It is pretty expensive even here, where we make it, so I can only imagine how expensive it would be to get it over seas, but if you can, it is absolutely worth it, there is nothing like the real thing for pan cakes.
Here is a basic recipe for pancakes:

1 cup flour
3/4 cup milk ( I usually add a bit more to my desired consistency)
2 Tablespoons oil
1 Tablespoon sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
DIRECTIONS:

Mix your dry ingredients together, then add in your wet ingredients. Mix until smooth and to desired consistency. I pour into a measuring cup I have with a pour spout but you can use whatever. Pour out onto semi-hot griddle; not too hot or the middle of your pancakes won’t cook through. I use my tortilla griddle. When it’s bubbled up on one side, flip! Serve with your favorite syrup, fruit or sugar.

Real maple syrup is actually pretty simple to make, IF you have a sugar maple tree, just collect the sap (LOTS of it) and boil it down, if you don't have these over there, your either going to have to just use the commercial fake artificialy flavored stuff, or order it from the U.S. or Canada.

The above is a good simple for our favorite, Pancakes! It's really good with bacon, ham or sausage! To make them a little different try adding, a little vanilla or cinnamon to the batter! I sometimes add minced apple with a little cinnamon, or banana, strawberries, or any fruit that is in season! Chopped nuts are good also! tdemex

Well, if your asking for a recipe to make the pancake mix, I can't tell ya. But here's the Brazilian way of eating a pancake:

Chopped coconut
Chocolate powder
Butter

Spread the butter on the pancake, add the coconut and the powder, roll up like a tortilla, and enjoy! This is better than any pancake with maple syrup -- ever! Trust me.;)
