Cultures Do Not Mix They Clash
Multiculturalism is a denial of the simple truth that cultures clash. The proponents of multiculturalism attack this truth by claiming that:
All the different cultures can live like one big happy family as soon as we get rid of the bad people—the racists, sexists, fascists, chauvinists, bigots, red necks etc.— all those people who will not change their beliefs to match fashion.
They do not utter these words directly because such a plain statement immediately reveals the absurdity of multiculturalism, but this is what they imply by their words and deeds. The flaws of their notion are easy to realise as different cultures have different beliefs that make them incompatible. For example either:
• Adulterers are stoned to death or they are not.
• Thieves have their limbs amputated or they retain them.
• Young men who show contempt for their elders are speared to death or they are not.
• Men can slay female relatives who dishonour their family, or they can not.
All of these conflicting values are the choices of cultures with adherents in Australia, but it is clear that only one course of action can be followed, so one culture must dominate.

I don't think of political correctness as a multicultural issue. I think of it more as a way to silence free speech.

It is multicultural in that we have to appease ALL those differing cultures. We no longer value the CULTURE of America....the ethics, language, traditions and mores that were part and parcel of being an American. We are taught that ALL cultures are equally beneficial....and should be embraced by all.

It does serve to silence those who still hold to American values, ethics, language and mores...in that we are marginalized and made to appear as bigots, racists, and immoral. So we, out of fear of the repercussions do not speak up about things that matter to Americans.

I also think of political correctness as making the wrong seem right.

Multiculturalism and Diversity are destructive to the American existence and way of life.
Out of many into one... We are all Americans.
Although we come from many different ethnic lines. While it is good to celebrate our heritage, it cannot interfere with the fact that we Are Americans first and foremost.
All of this talk of Multiculturalism and Diversity divides us and creates unnecessary rifts and frictions for no good reason.
When we put our cultural heritages before our national heritage as Americans, then we wind up at odds with each other, and racism and strife result.
We are Americans who should celebrate those things that make us different, instead of using them to divide us.
As this article shows... this is also true elsewhere.

My grandparents were immigrants...and one grandmother was a Native American. Those who immigrated all assimilated. My mother was Irish and Italian...didn't know how to speak Italian. My brother married a girl from Italy...it took her six months to be speaking fluent English. My step grandfather was from Austria....Jewish. He did speak Yiddish, German, and some Hebrew...but his choice was to speak English and he was very proud of learning the language. My father could speak German and Ojibwa...but hardly ever did..had to 'pull' it out of him.
Now we don't expect immigrants to learn the language ....we are expected to learn theirs!
I agree...it does cause resentment and racial tension....along with lots of frustration and mistrust with one another.
