Why Michael Owen get criticized more than any other fooballer??

I always admire and like Michael Owen even when he was still starting in professional soccer. I think his plays are really good (made me thought before he could be the next Ronaldo hahaha!). Well, I think in this game of hard sports we cannot really avoid injury. In his case, he is just unfortunate. Anyway, the more he gets criticism the more he will do well and become more popular.^^;

I think owen gets criticized because he's a big name. Everyone has seen what he was and expect him to be the player that he was. That's simply impossible considering his pass injuries and lost of pace. Owen is now a box poacher and not the flying explosive forward that he was, but that is good enough. We have Wayne to do the explosive stuff for us. All we want Owen to do is get on the end of the balls that Wayne sends. Just by scoring that winner against city makes him worth signing.
