after the break ups

They say that in order to surpass the pain brought about by a failed relationship,you must undergo a healing process which involves acceptance and letting go.
When you accept within yourself that the relationship you had was gone already, that's the time you can utter " I moved on". Moreover, when you already free yourself with the agony of bitterness and already realized that you are willing to accept another promising relationshipship in your life, that's the moment you can utter " i forgot you already".

Its really hard to say i moved on or i forgot you already if that someone who broke your heart really means a lot to you. For me if you think that you already moved on I guess the pain just slip away but the love still remains..

I find it hard to forget anyone who was a significant other. Moving on is when you have accepted the break up and decide it's time to stop crying and either take time to yourself for healing or accept to date again. If you can forget someone easily, I think that person wasn't worth dating at all and it's a good idea to re-evaluate what you look for in a partner. Learn to learn from mistakes. It's worth fighting for. I hope.;)

I think "I moved on" is more positive term than "I forgot you already". For me "moving on"' means that you have accepted the fact that things didn't work out well for the both of you and that you are looking forward for a better relationship; while "I forgot you already" means there is bitterness or that the past relationship is a bad experience and that you wish that it never happens.

I was in a very serious relationship before and it didn't work out. i cried like a dam. And you know what, until now when sometimes we meet, he could still affect me so. We are leading different lives but there's still this connection between us that's not easy to break. I know it affects both of us cause I can see his reaction if accidentally our paths cross.We can't even pretend we're friends. we're both married now and we attend the same church. It's been 10 years! What do you think of that? Have I moved on?

"i moved on" i think means that you are still doing a conscious effort to block everything of that failed relationship which is lingering somewhere near the surface.but when you are ready to say i forgot already that means that person doesnot matter to you anymore. you are no more making conscious effort. in fact you can talk and laugh about the failed relationship in a neutral way.
