How do I connect my computer to my tv?

A Tv can be connected to the Computer only if your television and computer have the compatible ports if they do connect them using an hdmi cable and check your display properties to manage the displays

You can use your tv as your monitor for your computer if the video card in your computer supports tv out feature and you have the necessary cable plus make sure that your tv has this video in port, it can be an rca or s-video. So try checking your video card if it has the video out (rca or s-video) or if you still have the documentaion, check it.
