Overcome politics at the office is really a challenging job. Steer clear of office gossip, While its tempting to vent about a coworker or a work situation that is frustratng, know that doing so is a slippery slope, especally when the gossiping (politics)is done at the office. Remember the saying the wall have ears, and realise that whomever you are gossiping to may love to gossip so much that they turn around and share your rant with the next person to walk into the break down.

How do you over come politics at the office? DON'T TALK ABOUT THEM!!! My husband got all but black balled cause he said he was with the party opposite the party his union was supporting. Hardly anyone in the union knew WHY they supported the party they did.. didn't have a clue as to what the candidate did or didn't do, it was just the union said "vote this way" so they did. When my husband pointed out the facts as to why their candidated didn't do what he said he would or whatever... they all but black balled him... he has hardly ever worked out of that local since - and that was when Clinton ran for his second term!!! I too, have learned the hard way... talk office at the office and leave your personal life and politics and often even religion... at the front door... better yet, leave them in your car with the doors locked!!!! First time you say something your employer doesn't like or other employees dont' agree with.. it will be held against you... at raise time or crummy job assignment time or when you need a sick day oar something like that. Minor chit-chat only at the office!!!
