How do you find your music? |
| |
| My mom asked me this the other day and I wasn't really sure how to answer her. I find music in lots of different ways. If I want to find new music that sounds like something I already like, I go to last.fm and wander through the list of Similar Artists. That's how I found Gillian Welch. Sometimes I hear a song on a television show or movie and like the sound of it so much I seek out other songs by the same artist. That's how I found Sondre Lerche. Sometimes I find out that an actor I like is also a singer so I check out their music. That's how I found Christian Kane. Sometimes my friends tell me about bands they like. That's how I found Paramore. So what about you? How do you find the music you like? Do you search out new music or are you content with just hearing what is playing on the radio? | | | | | |

| | As a music fan,I also needs much time to find what I want sometimes. Mostly,if I hear a new music I do like but I don't know the singer, then I'll serach it in google search engine using some words of the music as the key words. In this way,I may get many results,so I have to try to listen and pick up the right one.If I know the voice, then I'll find the songs of the artist.Or if I hear some music on some tv show,I will ask friends who have watch the same show if they remember some tunes.Recently,my friend told me that there is a software which can make an analyse of the tunes from your mouth and search the music that is most close to it.I don't know if it's true,if it's,then it actually saves us much time. | | | | | | |

| | I find my music by searching it's title over YouTube and then look at the related videos. From then, I'll be knowledgeable of new songs and play them all day. That's my routine in finding songs. Sometimes, I hear it on TV and I type the lyrics on google and then the songs comes out without any difficulty. | | | | | | |

| | I use YouTube, Pandora, Itunes Genius, movies/tv, and friend recommendations. What I use the most though is my favorite band websites. Sometimes the people my bands listen to are awesome and then sometimes I find people talking about singers in the forums. I have found a lot of new music through that, but some I have found through the sites I listed first. | | | | | | |
