I am the kind of person who likes adventure in accessories, shampoos and body wash are not exempted. I change brand of shampoos every now and then I don't have to maintain because I like to try different brands and scents, it's some kind of fun. How about you?

In my shower right now i have three different shampoos. I have Herbal Essences, Dove and then a dandruff shampoo for when my scalp is itching. Changing up your shampoos i believe can help you out and if you read what types of shampoos they are you will see why some people don't always stick to the same brand. Some brand's have better dandruff shampoos then other, some have better moisturizing shampoos then other then you have the ones for normal hair then oily hair and then some want volume so they buy different shampoos for their volume affect they want. Different brands might be a good thing for what you might want to be doing with your hair or trying different ones might not hurt because one moisturizing shampoo might be better than the other for you.

Dove shampoo is really good :) I have an uncle who is a hairdresser and he uses this to wash people's hair :) I love the smell too, by the way :)

Actually yes, it is always good to change brand of different commodities to try the effectiveness of others. Me too is very experimental, I want to try different brands, I never stick to one brand.hehe

I change my shampoo and conditioner quite often, I did read somewhere that it is good for your hair to change as your hair gets used to the same thing all the time, a change is good.

Most hairstylists also warned that using shampoos with the same brand for a very long period of time can really damage the strands of the hair, so I kept changing shampoos every two months.hehe

Hi jlamela, Me too is not exception in this area. Be it soap or shampoo I keep on changing and there is a reason too. Once my friend who is a Dermo told me not to stick to only a single brand for a long time. He explained me the reasons too.

Thanks for a reply, I do agree with you, most hair experts advised that it is not good to use the same brand for a long period of time.

Hello jlamela. I change shampoo when the brand i am using is gone already. When it is empty, i am using my sister's shampoo whatever the brand they are using. So i guess i am not choocy when it comes to these things. I just use what's available.

Hi! I always find it fun to try different shampoos, a habit which my mom finds annoying. I remember a teacher of mine once said that it's better if you change your shampoo every 2 months because some nutrients aren't present in some shampoos. I can't really say if this is a fact though, I haven't researched on it yet! I do change brands because there are times when I develop dandruff whenever I use a shampoo for a long time. As with soaps and body washes, I'm kinda picky since I develop rashes when I'm not used to it. Shampoos, conditioners, facial washes, etc all work better if you choose what's right for your type of hair (ex: straight, frizzy, curly), skin (oily, normal, dry)... :)

I have allergies so some shampoos/conditioners work for a while then I have to switch them with a different brand when I start breaking out. It's the same thing with toothpaste, bodywash, deoderant and many household products. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

I usually use Sunsilk (Green), but if it's unavailable, I use anything, My hair is quite long too but good thing it's not very picky when it comes to shampoo!
