Associated Content and click exchange program?

I have been going through a lot of the many various pages of facts and rules on Associated Content, and I am just curious that if I add my page to a exchange site, is that against the rules of the site? It will get me more reads, which will increase my earnings, is that bad or will get me into trouble?

I think it's not allowed. However, you can post the links on sites like digg and other social bookmarking sites.
