for me ebay is one of the trusted online auction site so far. i've been a member and seller their for many months now and sold out a lot of item there. i couldn't think of other site aside from ebay. as for me ebay is the place where buyers and sellers meet. lol

I have bought and sold on eBay for a few years and I have had some successes and some periods where items didn't sell. I think eBay isn't a great place to sell items in the summer months. For me the summer months had the lowest percentage of sales and bids and the highest amount of listings with zero bids.
Since the economy fell apart, I've noticed a lot of my items have only been receiving a few bids instead of several.
Even though there are some alternatives, eBay still has the biggest built-in customer base...but I do try some alternatives to selling too.
Good luck with your eBay sales!

I've been an Ebay dealer for many years..not a Power seller, don't I wish.
I can tell you one thing, because of the economy, people are not buying fun stuff as much as they use to. Try going with the Holidays and try to find Vintage or Antique items at reasonable costs, they seem to always sell.
Right now Halloween is coming up and that's always a hot time of the year. People LOVE Halloween! I've been into old Postcards, some are very, very collectible, and again, Halloween Postcards (old one's, early 1900's) are always almost a sure thing. Plus, Christmas/New Year postcards with Santa Claus, Snowmen, Children, are ususally in demand.
Keep your prices decent or you won't make a dime. They love to bid, so have fun with it. Try to make a profit, or start with what you paid for the item.
Again, Halloween, and Christmas are the Holidays coming up. Vintage items, Antique items are good sellers and you can find most of this in the Collectibles section on Ebay, including the Postcards. Go and check this out for yourself and see what people are buying and you'll find it amazing, as I do. Plus, in the Collectible section your pictures are free! Good Luck and enjoy!

I had some but not much. I didn't have much to sell. Tried selling my husbands smokers but no one wanted to pay a freight charge on it or come to Oklahoma to pick it up.
