My personal opinion is that you should be giving 100% to your partner and he should be giving 100% to you. By doing this you will both be doing everything in your power to make the other person happy. Definitely a win win situation. The only problem with this is if you are giving 150% to make up for the 50% your partner is not giving it will corrode your person and eventually cause you to become resentful and bitter. Communication! Sit down with your partner before marriage and discuss your goals, his goals and then form some joint goals.
