Do you still give alms to the beggars or bums on the street?
In our country, we were prohibited to give to street beggars because they were claimed to be protected or member of syndicate or something. These beggars come in different styles. Some kids would even climb a public transportation jeep to shine the shoes of the passengers and then ask for money. Christmas is nearing and definitely, i anticipate kids coming again in public transportation jeeps to sing a christmas carol with their makeshift tambourines.

it depends to the beggars, some beggars are not really using the money for good, i have seen some beggars who they have use the money for gambling so sometimes i prefer to give food than to give money most especially to the kids because i only believe that they need food than giving them money.

Generally I observed that the native people are not beggars, the street beggars are mostly from different states, it looks like whoever wants to beg, they migrate to unknown place to start this profession, that is preferred by lazies.
