Isn't Honour Killing An Act Of Barbarianism?

This is fast catching up. Young men and women are killed in the most brutal of forms,in the name of saving honour. Young lovers who go against the wishes of the family elders or community leaders are put to dead. This is the most savage form of punishment, to those who tried to unite in love. Is falling in love such a big crime? Is caste and religion, which are man made phenomenons more important? Reports of honour killings are frequent in remote villages of India, Afghanisthan and Pakistan, to name a few. The government of these countries have not taking this issue too seriously for reasons best known to them. Its time Mylotters, irrespective of culture, race, religion or geographical barriers, voiced their concern at this monsterous trend, which is sniffing out young lives in the name of saving a perceived notion of honour.

I am very happy that honor killings are charged to the fullest extent of the law when it happens outside of whatever country these people come from. Canada was hit by a few of them but the family members were punished and THAT is good press. I think there is a changing in ways. Woman from these countries that promote this bruial slaughter are protesting. I think there is a change of ways coming but it is slow because of the country. I am thankful that not all women are being circumsized anymore. That used to be common practice now it is mostly down to the undereducated villages that still practice. I think some of these regiens are so deep into the ways they crew up that they don't understand that there is a better way of life.

honour killing is a ghastly act and should be strongly condemned.everyone should have the basic right to choose a partner for themselves .no religion in this world considers love a crime instead its actually been given the highest divine pedestal.then who are these mean creatures who kill young people or inspire the families to do so in the name of religion and false family prestige.they should be adequately punished .
