I'm someone that doesn't eat a lot of ethnic food. I was just curious how healthy ethnic food is since the majority of my friends like trying new food. What ethnic food is the healthiest? How good is it for you?

I love to try new food. I don´t particulary ask myself if they are healthy or not: my body is in charge of telling me that.. I can´t go inside a fast food chain: my nose smells the grease and I have to run. A good ethnic restaurant has a variety of dishes always. I always ask the waiter to expleain what I don´t understand. I usually end up with a wonderful meal. Have a nice day!

Any food can be healthy just by changing the ingredients, and instead of frying you should grill or bake. Instead of white rice, use brown or wild rice. Instead of white bread, eat whole wheat bread. That is really the only difference. With these simple guidelines any food can be healthy.

I don't know which ethnic food is the healthiest. All I know that North American fast foods such as McDonalds's and KFC is full of fat and additives. -Not healthy- Also I find Taco Bell not healthy. Lately I have had wraps from Burrito Boyz Mexican. I found them quite healthy. A wholewheat tortilla, fresh tomatoes, lettuce and peppers, salsa, and grated mozzarella, chicken strips or beans for vegetarian, sauce if you want. It was fresh and tasted good.

I don't try a lot of ethnic foods. I know stir fries aren't the best because of all the carbs in rice and you are frying your vegtables. Italian I love, but can get a bit rich sometimes. I do think Mexican is healty, not American Mexican, but traditional. I understand that peppers are a wonder source of antioxidents and those are what keep you healthy.

I also like to try eating various kinds of food. I find it really hard to resist the temptation of good taste though I am quite aware the health problems. I have no idea which kind of ethnic food is the healthiest. Personally as a asian, I prefer food from north east asia countries such as Chinese food, Japanese food, Korea food, which have relatively less fat and sugar compared with fast food like KFC.
