What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear a country's name?

When I think of a country or a State the picture and structure of that particular country or state will come in to my mind first. Rest and all next.

When I hear the names of countries that I have been to I think of one or more of the particular places that I have been to like Australia and I think of the unique wildlife on Kangaroo Island. New Zealand I think on the excellent walking tracks and the scenic landscape.

Thinking of other countries that I haven't yet been to India I see the Taj Mahal. The Philippines I think of the tropical islands. Peru I think of Machu Picchu. Madagascar I think of the lemurs.

I think places in Western Europe are pricey and places in Eastern Europe are far cheaper. I can see a map of the USA in my mind. I really love traveling and my brain in filled with travel memories and wishes for traveling to other places in the future.

When I hear about Belgium I think about chocolates!:P

When I hear about France, Eiffel Tower...

alright---- philippines, i think of the islands. netherlands, milk and cheese! US, choco coated espresso bean from LA! hongkong- fashion, italy- pasta, paris- the effeil tower. list could go on...:)

lol Grace you are right in your statement I do feel the same way. I watch various tv channels when at home, so I have some mental picture about people and their culture.
