My bestfriend and I recently started dating. I feel as if he's my soul mate.Is it true what they say...Men and women can't be friends?

I being the tomboy I grew up as have a lot of male friends. Plus I have two brothers. I generally feel more comfortable around guys because girls are very caty. I did however fall in love with my brothers best friend when I was 14 and he was well older. My brother almost killed both of us since I was so young but we took things very slow and were friends who knew we loved each other but did nothing about it for a few years then we dated for a long long time after that even getting engaged before breaking up last year. Men and women can definely be friends though. I have guy friends Ive never thought of in that light and we've spent hours apon hours together over the years.

YES! I found that out firsthand. I was in a bad relationship and my best friend was there for me through everything. He listened, made me laugh, spent time with me, let me know he cared. He knew me very well, and still wanted to be with me. When the old relationship ended, my best friend and I began to date and I have never been happier with a man than I am with him! He's my best friend, lover, soulmate. It's difficult to think about what my life was like before he was in it.
