Doe you know that the Bible says that God sings, shouts and dances?  email this discussion to a friend?

Hello, is anyone else know this about God, but me? I believe I have seen it twice in two different books in the old testament. I'll need to get the exact location, but this is true. How does this make you feel? what is your comment? I'm eager to know.

I would really have to see the references to that, but it would not be a shock to me. He enjoys seeing us praise him and be happy, why would he not do that as well? But, it might be refering to angels in Heaven doing that. Let us all know when you have references so we can check it out too!

Hello, thank you for your response. I will indeed get the two references that I mention. I can asure you that it is not refering to angels. I will have this reference to share with you and others when I return tomorrow. Thank you once again.

Hello, I'm back with the references I found in my Spirit filled study Bible where it says that God sings, shouts for joy, and I think the word rejoice is refering to Him dancing over us.
These references starts in Zephaniah 3:17. My Truth-In-Action at the end of this book is where my question came from. It says,Rejoice in the Lord! "Did you know that God sings, shouts for joy, and dances over you because He loves you so much?"Verse 17 does describe God singing and shouting. Then these other references in Deut.30:9,Is.62:5, and Jer.32:41 uses the word "rejoice", this might be refering to God dancing. However, I had a realization come to me as I was looking up these references. Since God created us to sing, shout and dance before Him, it also seems fitting the He would indeed want to do the same over us, because He delights in His people giving Him praise.
