No one puts Baby in the corner....

Oh heck, you said it way better than I could. I really only saw two of his movies (will have to look up Too Wong Foo), Dirty Dancing and Ghost. I got pretty much the same message from Dirty Dancing that you did. Ghost was more about love and about doing what it takes to protect your loved ones. With a few funny moments thrown in for good measure...

He was a great actor and by all accounts, a very nice man. I am sorry to see him go. I loved To Wong Fu! even dressed as a lady he managed to look good. I first remember him from The Outsiders and of course Dirty Dancing and Ghost. He was in a lot of great films and was even great in a lot of not-so-great films. He will be missed, my heart goes out to his family, friends and everyone who loved him.

Patrick's movies were all very memorable to me. He was good! I especially remember Ghost and To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything Julie Newmar. The first was a major tear jerker. I am such a romantic that I was right there! And Too Wong Foo--Oh! My Gosh! What a woman's movie huh? With the most macho of men at that time. Oh Ya! And, I saw the last interview with Patrick and his wife given by Barbara Wah Wah. His wife was a dear too. Strong woman. He was strong through it all. He could sure pick a movie to be in. I would love to be a mouse in the corner with Wesley, Pat and whats his name were making To Wong Foo. Fun stuff. And as far as the message and what I learned. I learned just how much of the feminine is really in all men.~Mitakuye Oyasin

I was so saddened to hear of Patrick Swayze’s passing; 57 is way too young! I have a copy of the movie Dirty Dancing. It is on a VHS video which I bought when I travelled through London. I have always loved that movie and at the time related a great deal to Baby’s awkwardness at the beginning of the film and the movie’s message is very dear to me; you can do anything as long as you are true to your authentic self!
I enjoyed ‘To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar’ and I could still watch Ghost again for the hundredth time!

R.I.P. Patrick Swayze

Patrick Swayze is always very nice to watch in any movie of his. North and South is my very favourite of his I would watch this series over and over it´s very well made I don´t know if it ever had any kind of award or any credits I would be very surprised if it did not. Living outside of America I have no idea what the impact has been with this Series but in Spain they have repeated it a couple of times and all mixed up but then we are used to that here lol.
North and South has many great actors but Patrick Swayze and the other actor who played a role in the opposite side of the war is what makes me remember Patrick Swayze the most of all.
Never fails to move me.
Dirty Dancing and Ghost are my favourites of Patrick Swayze too these are all memories that will live on for me for a long time to come. I prefer to remember Patrick like this.

Hallejulliah sweet Anora! I could never in a million years have said it better! Must not give up the truth! Well said. I keep going back to To Wong Foo. I was so impressed with these men make a womans movie. It was a joke within a womans flick. It was great! One of my all time favorites. It took (my favorite word) ba$$s and I would love to be in the corner listening to these during make-up and all the crap they must of gone through. He was great! And then there was Ghost. Me, the romantic, loved every moment of this. What did they teach me? That the man had nerve to do a good bit of entertaining no matter what anyone thought! And thank the good Lord and Gods and Godesses he did too! My hats off to ya Patrick. You will be missed!

Wel i do not remember any lines/messages from Swayze's movies.. But i did like him a lot as an actor..

Was really shocked to see the news that he passed away.. Just a day back, i was watching his series- 'The Beast' and was thinking, 'Wow, he looks nothing like a cancer-stricken person'..

RIP Patrick Swayze!!

That is probably one of the most memorable moments and lines of any movie. He portrayed the same message I believe in Road House too. He was such a fabulous actor and such a wonderful person. I feel so upset still that we lost such a wonderful person at such a young age. Why can't we with all of our technology find a cure for cancer?

I can't believe it. I know they had said that he was going down hill and I hadn't been online to read the news or anything. He was the one that gave me and many other girls a different idea of what romance could be like. That it didn't have to be all roses and movies and dinners. The "Dirty" part of the dancing in the movies is what changed the face of a lot of dancing in this country and opened the door to a lot of the ways we dance today. The one besides Dirty dancing I remember him in is "Ghost" atleast I think that's the title the one where he played with whoopie and he uses her to help his girlfriend find his killer. I also think dirty dancing showed a side that the goody tooshoo girl of a bunch just might be the worst kind there is to trust.

Hello my friend Anora_Eldorath Ji,It is very true. There are some characters, who make such deep impressions on our heart and mind taht they are ever lasting. They remain alive for ever. I do remmeber a Movie named 'JOKER' by acted and Directed by "Raj-kapoor", where he played part of Joker, who had to act, even his mother was on the death bed to make other people laugh, at the same time, his heart and soul wa swith his dying mother. Condition was quite contrast, so even today I learn from him.
