The top popular sports here is table-tennis, we also call it ping-pong, almost everyone can play it, the only difference is the level. And badminton is also popular here. It is our first choice in our spare time. For teenagers, basketball is also hot. Yao Ming and Yi Jianlian are their heroes, especially Yao. Even some of my friends, they have get married and had babies, they also play basketball weekly. Now as several players made good scores in snooker and women's tennis games, these two games also become more popular than before.

Hello, vinslounge! I am from Romania, and there is no sport around here that can even compete with football (what Americans call soccer). There are 18 teams in the first league, hence 9 matches per stage, and at least 7 matches are on TV (on various channels), not to mention a couple of games from the second division. Football is also the main sport in schools (for boys - girls play handball or volleyball), and the main sport you see people playing in parks. There are some cities that love other sports more (like handball), because they have very strong local teams playing that sport (at European level - there are a few handball teams that usually win European trophies). I have never ever heard of someone playing cricket around here.

I live in America and I believe that the most popular sport that we have here in this country is football. The stadiums are packed with people at high school football games. They are packed at college football games. The professional football games have become a big business here in America and they are packed and they are shown every week on public television. Millions of American set down each week at home to watch their favorite teams play. The Super Bowl game which is the highlight of the season is hugh. Everybody either wants to play football or watch football.

hello, i too live in india and favorite sport in our country is cricket, well, the national sport is hockey but people here like to watch cricket here rather than hockey. but now a days football is growing at a really good pace here in india.
