How Do You Wear Your Perfume/Cologne

I am very sensitive to most types of perfume/cologne. I could easily get a blocked nose or even flu. That is why I apply it as far away from my nose as possible. I always apply it to my clothes. However, I realized some people apply theirs on there necks and skin. Is that safe?

i wear light perfume especially when i attend parties (which are very seldom). i do wear perfume depending on my mood. i prefer to wear baby cologne because of its light scent. i usually dab it at the back of my ear, wrist and hands. that reminds me ... to pub cologne again... smell has faded now.

I am glad I was able to remind you to renew your cologne. I would really like those light fragrances. Those shouldn't make me sick.

Perfumes have a way of making me so dizzy. My sinuses start swelling. Then my head hurts and I start thinking very slooowly. Right now I'm wearing some beautifully scented tahition body oil that is unfortunately making my head hurt. Dang the immune system!

Hi, 2wicelot. I apply it to my neck and to my wrists. I also use it on my inner thighs too. This is when I am using either a spray or an body oil. I have used spray on my clothing too. I love the way that it smells. I guess that it is safe to use on your neck and skin. Only if you are not allergic to it in any way.

I think the key here is about not being allergic to the perfume. I guess if you are not you can spray it all over. Nice response.

There are a lot of prefumes that make ms sneeze. Without putting it on. I remember one time a lady was trying on some prefume and I sneezed non stop. I have really bad allergies. So there are some prefumes that I can't wear.

It seems you are even more allergic than me. I remember once on the bus this lady sat next to me and has this really powerful perfume. It didn't make me sneeze but I had some terrible uncomfortable reaction.

When I'm wearing a perfume I typically apply it to my wrists and sometimes my neck. If I'm wearing a spray or spritz, which usually isn't as "potent" then I may just spray it all over, including on my clothes! I have noticed that sometimes it will leave a stain on my clothes though, so sometimes I try to remember to put it on before I get dressed. That way I can spray it all over my body but not stain my clothes.

I am always afraid I would get even sicker if I let it touch my skin. But that is a real problem for me too, it always stains my clothes and it is quite visible on the light colored ones. I usually spray it hidden corners of clothing. I guess I would try applying it to the wrist just to see if I get sick or not.

I spray it on my neck and just dab a little on my wrist. It is best that you put a little oil on your neck or wrist for it stays longer. There are oil-based perfumes which I find even better. I get to consume it longer than non-oil based perfume.

I have this feeling that I would get even sicker if I let it touch my skin. But I would give it a go.

It is good to know I am not the only one with this condition, sort of. I may try using the balm too. But then, I don't think I want the smell of the balm to linger. What a dilemma.

I wear an oil called Egyptian Musk. I normally apply a dab on my neck and wrists. I've never gotten sick or anything from applying it to my neck or wrists.

That is nice. I think I should look for that brand. I like nice smelling fragrances but unfortunately some of them make me sick.
