In good time & bad time that what friends are for?  

Like the song by Dionne Warwick goes
Keep smiling, keep shining
Knowing you can always count on me, for sure
That's what friends are for
In good times, in bad times
I'll be on your side forever more
Oh, that's what friends are for

Like in the lyrics of that song we should be able to be there for our friend.But what if that friend doesn't want to lean on you or even let you in on the bad times so that you may help and be there for that person, and in the moments and days of bad times you are totally ignored totally removed from the picture and clueless about this bad time.And when the storm is over you will appear back in that friend picture and he/she would ask for your forgiveness for ingnoring you.And then tell you of the problem he/she was having and add that's its all ok now.when at the time of not knowing you were so worried about that friend of their silence and even felt that maybe you did something to that person.
How would you feel about this situation?would you feel bad of that person not needing you? what do you think?Is this person a good friend?
