How to determine if an an earning site is a scam?

thanks for sharing this discussion. as what i discover and what other people advice me about legit or scam sites, which i will share it to u.
normally it is not a scam if:

1.) they dont ask u to pay anything, everything would be for FREE.
2.) no time limit for membership.
3.) they have proof of payments to members
4.) a lot of good comments from members
5.) try to check some review site for PTC or other online source of income
6.) the site dont ask u for any other personal info like credit card # & so on..
7.) the site only use the best online payment like paypal & more.

I have try a few ptc and ptr site beside mylot.Well,if you want to know whether the site you found is a scam or not,you can always google it and see what other people think of it.You can also try to ask in mylot,i am sure that a lot of mylotter is willing to share their experience with you.Besides,most scam site will offer something that too good to be true.Some scam site will also not have any forum because they don't want to see any negative feedback to their site so there will always be new user that fall into their trap.Anyway,always google the site and see other people opinion before starting to earn online.I hope my advice is useful to you.:)

How to spot a website that sells a scam?

There are many fake websites which are like the real thing. For example websites of some of the most reputed banks are also being scammed.

It is not only banks that these scammers use they also use some of the most reputed company names such as Microsoft and Nokia. Here are some of the characteristics of a website that sells a scam.

- The website has lots of advertisements and slogans saying that you can get rich in a matter of months.

- The website itself is very impressive.

- The pay is very high as much as USD 150 a day. We all know that getting paid so much a day is not possible.

- The testimonials are very convincing. The testimonials sometimes are the only thing that stops the victim from suspecting a scam. They think if some else has done it, so can they.

- Even though Google search results show that the web site that is selling a work at home job is free, when you get to the page, read all the enticing facts at the bottom of the page it says that you have to pay a small amount as membership or a joining fee.

- If they say it 'Risk free' you should check out the website further and research on it.

- There are pictures of people being paid by cheque. The cheque number and the amount are very clear. Sites that are genuine will never risk showing you a cheque of other people's earnings. This is a warning sign of a scam.

- If you write to the site requesting for further information about the product, they will never send you a reply. Scam sites have very poor customer service skills.

- The address and contact details of the website are either a PO Box number or the telephone number is a mobile number.

- A site that overly emphasises their services and boasts that they are good.

- Websites that talk about scams should never be trusted. After all if they are a genuine website why touch on grim issues such as scams.

- Websites that sell high prices electronic equipment for a fraction of the cost is selling fakes and the site is very likely to be a scam site.

- At the end of the page check the 'privacy' and 'disclaimer' page. You should be able to ask questions and get an answer for it.

Spotting a scam is the best way to really avoid a scam. Therefore keep your eyes and ears open to what is going on around you or you may find yourself in a trap or situation that you will not be able to get out of.

Besides all that have been said, I like old sites very much. They have been on the web for about 5 years, they don´t put themselves "on maintenance" so that you worry is it´s going to go on, the never say they are hacked. My favorites there are worllinx, clixsense, linkgrand, incentria and clicksia.
There are good new ones, but I won´t invest there.

Mylot was the first legitimate paid to post forum i joined online. before that i had joined one survey site called AW Surveys which was too luring but ofcourse it turned out to be a scam and they deleted my account! Then for quite some time after that i never joined any paid programs. It was then that my friend introduced me to mylot. Through Mylot i came across another paid forum and my first payment came from that forum. I wasnt active in mylot but now i have come back here and i must say this place is really great. I think mylot is best place to ask for help in earning money online as all the people gere are friendly and will never fool you. atleast thats my experince.

about finding if an earning site is scam, you can search it here on mylot and chances are you will find atleast one discussion about that site here and if you visit that discussion you can get all detials about that site. Alternately, you can just search on google for that site's name along with the word "scam" and if its really a scam, you will find plenty of people posting about that site saying it is indeed a scam. try this with one or two sites and you will see it works. I am no expert but if there's a paying site that I am interested to join, I'll Google for information or ask around. If that site is reputable enough, there's a lot of good words about it. You can also find payment proof from various users. I am not interested with a new site and low paying site.

You can check them all out at "Beenpaid.com", or "PTC investigations" as far as I know. I can't guarantee that these sites are also not scams, but they seem pretty reliable to me.
There's probably more investigative sites around, but these two seem to be above board and they provide plenty of information.

If only there is/are a website that people could go to to check if that certain ptc/ptr sites is a legit or a scam then we would not be speculating too much. And maybe a set of guidelines so that they will not prey on us especially on people who are new to moneymaking online.
