can you sleep at night without turning your airconditiner on?

No I do not need a air conditioner while m sleeping as the weather here is not that hot to turn on the AC. I can sleep without that also 12 months a year though people say summers are really hot in india but somehow i dnt need an AC

I absolutely can't sleep when it's hot, so I have to have the AC on, a window open, or something to keep me cool. Like, I want it pretty much frigid in my bedroom when I'm trying to sleep. Luckily, my boyfriend feels the same way I do or we'd probably be looking at some issues!

I can't sleep without an air conditioner on. I'm the type of person who needs a cold room to be comfortable enough to sleep. Even though I have an air conditioner, I also have a fan in my room because I need the extra breeze. My daughter is the same way too. We can't sleep if its hot.

I can sleep without air conditioner. We don't even have one in the house. We used fans instead of air conditioner. It's cheaper and still cool the room (though not as whole as air conditioner do) I did used air conditioner while staying in a hotel during traveling. It's too cold that my throat become dry.

I have no problem in sleeping with out AC, infact I don't have one at my home now. I agree with you that its very nice to sleep in a cool room & I always prefer that. There are some people who from child hood have a habit of sleeping under AC that they cannot sleep properly without AC. So it's essential to ensure that you don't create a habit of AC for children & use AC's when it's really hot.

No, we don't sleep with the aircon on. We use it to cool the rooms and then switch if off afterwards or turn on the timer that it switches back on after 4 or 6 hours. We end up getting a cold if we use it while sleeping. If it becomes too hot, we just use fans to circulate a bit of air.

hello xannebull In India summer season is very terrible and without AC itis not possible to stay. It is essential to have ac in the residence. Now I am habituated and it is true without ac it is not possible to sleep at night.

oh yes i can! i am not used to having an airconditioner. its just now that i am having one of my own. because i just liek having one. specially with the type of weather we are having here in the Philippines at this kind of time. the weather is changing so much that sometimes i am getting so confused already. and we do live in a tropical country so its rather hot mostly all the time.

I do need an air conditioner while sleeping at night. The area I live in is moderate to hot. But I do not know why but for some reason the temperature inside my house is hotter than outside. We do have the Airconditioner switched on almost whole day. And yes Xannebull I agree with you it surely is comfortable sleeping in a cold room as you get a very sound sleep otherwise if no AC is there then it's just tossing and turning whole night.

My adult daughter and her two sons sleep in one room and they have to use a fan year round, even when it is cold. They use it because of the sound it makes, it blocks out other irritating sounds. The sound of the fan is sort of like the "lullaby" you mention your children get from your air conditioner. I believe the sound of the fan is called "white noise" and it really helps them to sleep. When our electricity goes out, they wake up right away and have a hard time sleeping without it.
