English is my second language too.. I improved mine by watching a lot of English and American movies and reading a lot of books... You'll also need a dictionary so that you can look up some words that you don't understand. Hope that I helped! Happy myLotting!

Hello. Participating in the myLot dialogues is certainly an excellent way of improving your English. And, if you have English speaking friends around you where you live or work, it would be very helpful to practise speaking there too. You may also want to try the writing tasks here on myLot. You can earn some money, and also get the practice of writing about different things.

Try conversing in English as far as possible. Also watching Talk shows or speeches or debates or discussions on TV really helps. These suggestions are apart from what Tantrums had to say.

its extremely easy to learn to speak and write and read and understand english, pick a newspaper in the morning......and start reading it out loudly,do it daily for 10-15 minutes, this exercise will improve your reading and speaking skills,now for listening, try to watch two english movies a week with english subtitles,it will improve your listening skills. just follow what i told you, and you will feel a marked improvement in just one month, it wont cost you anything, and it doesn't take antime at all.

Hi malkaff! I think I am lucky because English is my primary language. It is a hard language to learn. But, I also think reading newspapers and watching TV--maybe with captions? are excellent ideas. Another way to learn is to learn along with someone else. Do you know someone else who wants to learn English too? If you get a translation dictionary and then try to have a conversation in English with your friend, you will both get better at it.

Watch tv and movies in English, listen to songs in English, and do those things without subtitles, go places where you hear people speak English, talk to people you know who speak English, read things in English, look up words that you don't know when you come across them, think of things you don't know how to say that would be useful and find out how.

Hi, I have the same problem with you.I also want to improve my english, both listenning and speaking. In my opinion, I think the more we listen and speak, the better it becomes. So listenning to news and taliking with friends with english is a good way to improve.
