Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas is already line up. I feel excited but also exhausted. For you that have a job in retail probably feel the same way. Holiday season mean we are going to get extra hours in our schedule. I learn my lesson, so last week I actually turn down the offer from my work place to get extra hours. I know that mean I turn down the extra money that can be useful for the holidays. But last year they put me up to 60 hours a week and I feel really-really exhausted on Christmas Day. I even end up stayed at home on New Years Eve. This year I just want to feel fresh and enjoy my Family, heck with the money, I think everyone will understand if I don't get too much Christmas Present for them this year. How about all of you? Are you raedy for the Holidays?

I used to work in retail for 7 seven years. I never saw an end between Halloween and Easter. It was just one shopping holiday after another. Every store seems to have a sale for a sale at every holiday. What holiday do you think shoppers spend the most?

I'm sure that you are right. No other holiday brings us a reason to shop like Christmas. it seems never ending.

I feel that what you did was a very wise, nice and mature thing to do. And I'm sure your family will understand, Christmas comes and Christmas go, the gifts lose their enchantment after a couple of days anyway, so who needs them? But you sound like a very proactive person who has her priorities right! Bugger the money, there are more important things, like your health, your emotional well-being, and so on. I'm personally not looking forward to the holiday season, I find it's just a distraction.

O, wow thank you. I take that as a compliment... it's only 10% of the employee that turn down this extra earning, and I feel relieve knowing that I really DID do that...hahaha...again people think that I'm the Weirdo that don't like money

I already feel the stress of the holidays coming!!! It is always a very busy time with me and on top of the holidays we have several birthdays in the family right along with them so it always seems to keep us busy!! It seems from October till January I never have a moment to stop and take a break since there always seems to be something that needs to get done or there is shopping to do and parties to plan and my least favorite is thinking about the clean up after all of it!! I do enjoy it however and always seem to try and outdo what we did the year before and make it that much more special. I am hoping that this year everything will turn out great and that I will somehow once again manage to get everything done that needs to be done.
