What do you do in your Independence Day? When is it?

I'm a Chinese and the national day of China is on October 1st, which is coming soon. It's the 60th national day in this year. And the government will hold a military parade in front of the Tian An Men. National flags have been decorated in every corner of the country. I guess that day I will stay at home and appreciate the parade on TV. In the evening there will be many art performances on TV, so I'll have a lot of choices.

Our Independence Day is on August 15 and this year it is already over. All over the country, flag-hoisting ceremonies are conducted by the local administration in attendance. Flag hoisting ceremonies and cultural programs take place in all the state capitals.

Sounds like y'all have a fun time. What are empanadas? ours is the 4th of july & there use to be a big todo here but they have stopped it for the last few years. There would be a carnival here, live music & people really turned out for it. My mother use to have a big dinner & invite family & friends. we usually had barbecue & all the trimmings. People just don't celebrate here like they use to. That's too bad.

our independence day is celebrated every june 12. we just have the usual independence day parade on the street but unlike urself, we don't have much things happening on that day. there is a commemorative program spearheaded by the government officials but not too many people attend.

it is a good day to us as it is declared as legal holiday each year and the working people and children do not go to work or school. we have a whole day to spend our free time.

It's on June 12, the Philippine Independence Day. There's a flag raising early in the morning in differrent historical places in the country, attended by government officials. There's a colorful parade, headed by the military, the gov't employees,concerned citizens and relgious and civic organizations plus so many other attractions. There are programs of cultural dances and presentations from differrent regions and musical programs presented by our local artists, our famous singers and movie people. There are exhibits of our products harvested, there are feast, free food, free rides at light railway transit and many others. There's a flag infront of each houses, at the cars and other vehicles and along the highways. Fireworks displays happened at night as well. Independence day is such a memorable event in our country.
