When will Real Madrid Lose?

The first el clasico is on 29th November. Gearing up to that, Real faces tough challanges from Sevilla, Atletico Madrid and Marseille(champs lge). Any thoughts?

If everybody is playing up to form, and nobody important is injured, then Real should be capable of at least a draw, even away to Sevilla.

I would still expect Barca to beat them at the Nou Camp though.

That's interesting prediction that Real will not reach the final this year. I have mixed thoughts about that though. This year's champions league final will be held at the santiago bernabeu, the home ground of Real Madrid. This fact itself will give them extra motivation to reach the final this year. They last won the champions league 7 years ago in 2002. Let's see how the season progress.

hi there stvasile, i would like to remind u people that Real finished second in the last season LA LIGA ....now they have added two bigger players on their side, that is the FIFPRO player, FIFA world Player of the current year and the FIFA world player of the previous year, its Cristiano Ronaldo and Ricardo Dos santos(KAKA)...
i would remind another thing, that ur favorite barca's player lionel messi has to sleep in his house while Kaka is playing in FIFA world cup 2010...
i would remind that messi would not win FIFA Player this time, because maradonna and messi have to take a cup of tea in their house while other teams are playing in FIFA world cup..
Argentina did not qualify to FIFA worldcup 2010, so no chance for messi ...

Your arguments about how Real Madrid now have an even stronger team than last season are strong and obviously valid. That still can't make me change my mind about supporting Barcelona.
Your other arguments, even if they are true sentences, are pointless for this discussion. The fact that Argentina won't qualify for the 2010 World Cup (although they still have some small chance) and Messi's absence from the South African competition have nothing to do with this season of Spanish League... The World Cup will take place after this season will end. And even more than that, the discussion wasn't debating what team will win the Primera Division, but when (if ever) will Real lose a game during this season.
My main conclusion was that until now, Real Madrid didn't meet any strong opponent in the Spanish League, so the victories they have until now are not extraordinary, but normal, considering the teams they played against.

iker casillas is the world's best goalkeeper....he is very much better than victor valdes...at the end, sevilla 0- 4 real(Ronaldo 2, KAKA 2) and

I guess it's time for me to pop in and claim what's mine... It seems I was right when I predicted Real will lose against the first strong team they meet - Sevilla. However, I didn't see the match... Can you tell us more, gunagohan?

yes...we have lost the game....one main reason could be the absence of Cris.Ronaldo...he did not play the match...second main reason was iker cassillas...not efficient when they faced sevilla....
Navas scored the first goal for sevilla in the 33rd minute...while Pepe equalized
1-1 in the beginning minutes of the second half....i became happy and thought that real could get a point for a draw ...but Renato Scored a header from adriano
leading 2-1 in 67th minute....

but we have another fixture on 7th march 2010...we will steal the day and defeat sevilla....

madrid has lost to milan...i accept the defeat and we will watch the rest of matches with confidence...we accept our defeat against sevilla and milan....

I don't think the Real Madrid fans should despair. After all, it's just a defeat in each competition. The championship is won in many games, and I don't think Real will have any problems in qualifying from this CL group.
As of the most recent defeat in the Copa del Rey - I don't even count that... We all know that the big clubs don't pay much attention to the cups - they aim for the big money, and that comes from the first places that get them into the Champions League...

Yes. I agree that Villarreal will test them. I won't be surprised if Villlarreal sneak a victory from that match. They are currently in 17th place and are certainly looking for a victory. The lights of Santi, Rossi, Llorente and Nilmar are not too be underestimated.

Yes I agree, Real Madrid do get complacent and it usually is their problem. Honestly if Villareal were still being managed by Pellegrini I am sure Villareal will beat them, but now it is Madrid that is being coach by him, that's why I'm still not sure on the Yellow submarine's chance. However VIllareal will definitely test their defense, so if Madrid thinks that it would be an easy ride to beat Villareal, they will be in for a shock.

Yes I've been watching La Liga pretty much for the last 7 years or so. I used to like madrid, valencia but these days I like Barca's game, I might favor them a bit more than Madrid this season. However, I usually change my favorite teams each season though, the one team that I kind of like the most is Valencia when they have Aimar and Vicente Rodriguez ruling the Liga with winning the titles couple of years ago, but their consistency is disappointing these days

I see. I quite like the style of Aimar too. Sad to see him leave for Benfica though. Spanish league lost a class player.

I agree with that. No team is unbeatable. Barcelona do play fantastic football on their best days.
