I have a problem with my YM. Can you help me?

Once I log in, everything stays the same until I log out, like my friends' status, who are online or not, etc. Like for example, I logged in and saw that my FRIEND X is online. Let's say he logged out after a few minutes. But then, he would still appear online to me until I log out and log in back again. In short, my YM does not update. I would still need to log out and log in to be updated. Do you get what I'm saying? If so, can you help me?

My friend have the same problem with you about a fey weeks ago. What he do is uninstalling the Yahoo Messenger. Scan his computer with the most updated Anti Virus. Downloading the Newest Version of Yahoo Messenger, from Yahoo Site ( not other site ), then install it again. After that, his yahoo messenger work just fine. Maybe you should try it, if it helps then its good, but if its not, maybe we can searh another solution.

Try login with another id ( your brother id maybe ) and c if the problem still there, then there must be something wrong with the computer.
Or Try login in other computer. If your id still have the problem, then the problem is your id.
The solution i can offer now is to Try other messenger. I Reccomended using pidgin, it nice and easy, but you can do voice conference and watching cam using pidgin, but u can login with more then 1 id yahoo messenger.
O yeah, i kinda forget, have u restart your computer yet? I Know it sound silly, but something restarting the computer will solve the problem.

I use yahoo messenger a lot..well not now but did use it a lot before and this is a very common problem with yahoo. If someone becomes invisible then it would show in seconds that he or she is not available but if someone logs out it would take sometimes up to one hour to show he or she has logged out. You can not do anything about it and anyways if your friend has said he is going offline then it doesnt matter what yahoo show his status as he is unavailble to you so dont worry, just enjoy the benefits of yahoo messenger that if lets you to be in contact with your friends for free and you can chat for hours and it is very good messenger to chat .

Well i think this is not what crimsonrain mean. He / she never seen her / his friendlist updating. It like, his / her friendlist never change from the first time she / he login.
For example
Im online now
then crimson login
crimsonrain see me online
im sign out
crimsonrain still c me online - the friendlist not updating
And then asweetie online
crimson doesnt c asweetie online - the friendlist not updating
Crimson sign out
Crimson sing in
Crimson c me off
crimson c asweetie on
i think that the problem, but correct me if im wrong

Mine did that once too. I just went to yahoo's site and downloaded the newest version and restarted my computer. That worked for me. They have just released a new version of the yahoo messenger again. I would try that and see if it works. If not, contact yahoo and see what is going on.

i have not been on yahoo messenger for almost a month now (my time is tied to mylot, lol). i haven't encountered that same problem as u have with ym now, maybe it is there but i just didn't go there for a while now.
the best thing for u to do is contact yahoo and ask about this problem and seek their advice on how to correct the problem.
