Can you really mak money in Twitter?

Hi Myloters, I read this kind of thing somewhere that you can make money from Twitter but is this really true? I really couldn't work out how you could make money with that site because its a social networking site. I actually tried already to join a site that you have to advertise your link in twitter then when somebody click that click you got paid and I spend one time a whole day advertising that site but nobody click it I just grow my followers but non of theme click the link. I really think that its impossible to make money in there unless you make an agreement I think with other that you would click there link if they click yours because the people in there are way to far so greedy that its only a one click and they are not even gonna give that. How about you have you tried making money with Twitter? Whats the result so far? Do you think you can make money from there? If so in what way? Thanks Myloters and happy myloting
