if i feel im nah okay, i do it in writing

eversince i was a kid if i dnt feel okay, sad, happy or whatever i always do it in writing and drawing too.....doing it made me feel fine coz i really dnt share my feelings to others maybe i dnt trust them....especially if im sad that day or feel depress i take it away by writing and yah after that il be fine..:)

I also started writing, as a child, everything that made me sad or mad but as I got older I found that all I did write about was all the negative feelings and although it helped me alot it started to reinforce alot of negativity in my life, it seemed like all I did was complain in my writings so I don't write as much and when I do I try to balance it with things that were positive in my life. I liked writing better than sharing outloud how I feel and I think it may be trust issues as well. I wish I could draw but my artistic ability doesn't go that far! Thanks for your topic!

It sounds like you have been keeping a journal for a very long time. I knew people who kept a diary when we were children, and I knew people who started keeping a journal when we were in high school. I never did either, as a child. I was actually 30 years old before I started keeping a journal. A friend of mine suggested it, and gave me one as a gift. I too, have found that it is a great way to relieve some stress. Sometimes it is good to talk to people, but then, I guess you kind of feel obligated to listen to their opinion as well. However, if you just write it down on paper, it is like venting to someone, except there isn't anyone on the other end. It is just you and your thoughts. And you can write about anything that you like. I think it's a great idea. Thanks for sharing with us! Have a great day!
