type of TV set |
|
We have two TV sets in our house. one is 29" and the other one is 21". Both are table top models only. But in the market, recently so many plasma TVs are flooding and people flock to buy it afresh or for the exchange. Even I wish to exchange our old TV for a plasma. Its sleek look and convenient way of fixing on the wall impressed me. What type of TV set do you have?

1. wangjihong350 (857) | 4 months ago | My family is the plasma TV, how long we have not yet bought. In the home theater effect, plasma TV was better than LCD TVs. Because LCD TVs are usually not the kind of TV shows such as blackness in vitro. Therefore, the LCD TV is difficult to show more details, video gamers will feel the image of the "three dimensional" feeling very well.

2. Buchi_bulla (2391) | 4 months ago | We too have two sets of TV at home both being 21". The second one recently I bought. Now the old one started giving trouble and we are going to exchange it shortly. Just thinking what to buy. Plasma TV may be costly I suppose. I have to go to the shop make survey and then decide. Any suggestions?

3. jlamela (2816) | 4 months ago | I have no television in my room since we have a free TV in the boarding house. It is only 18 inches I guess. But I am dreaming to own a sony bravia even just a small because it has an excellent reception and the screen is awesome. There's also from panasonic I like, the one with LCD screen, the color is very crisp and nice.

Anyway, LCD TVs range in size from 19" to over 50". They are more affordable than plasma TVs and you can mount them on the wall and they really look sleek.
I would buy a small 19' TV if it is for my bedroom (the Sony Bravia has an excellent model, as suggested by another mylotter. For larger LCD TV's any brand is good I guess, especially Sony, Samsung, or Toshiba - Depends on your budget really.
Whatever you buy, always check it out in the store and do not forget to check the viewing angles, which is very important. Also, check the color, brightness, and contrast. Happy hunting!

vathsala30 (835) | 4 months ago | Definitely i will check it out. What is viewing angles? how to check it? Is it regarding viewing the pictures in all the angles? please explain.

| AD1970 (93) | 4 months ago | Just go side to side in a 180 degree half circle around the TV (a few feet away from it). Most LCD TV's have 160 to 170 degree viewing angles. After that, the picture just fades and becomes dark and hazy. It usually isn't a problem in modern LCD TVs. Check anyway.

5. UmiNoor (409) | 4 months ago | We have 3 TV sets - 2 are CRTs and 1 LCD Sony Bravia. The 2 CRTs are 21 inches and 29 inches and both are flat screen tvs. I think if you're on a low budget a 29 inches flat screen tv is quite a good choice for viewing. Philips has a good range and the sound system is quite good too.
As for my LCD Sony Bravia, it's a 32 inches tv which I'm very satisfied with. You're able to adjust the contrast and color to your liking. But what I believe can really enrich your viewing experience is the sound system. It actually does not matter what tv you have whether it's CRT, LCD or plasma, what really makes the difference is the sound system so I've installed a Sony home theater system to my LCD tv and that makes a whole world of difference in my viewing whether watching dvd movies or television shows. With a good sound system, it's like watching a movie at the cinema.

vathsala30 (835) | 4 months ago | One of our TV set is philips 29", eye-fi series, flat screen only. We are satisfied with the clarity, colour, and sound system. Another one is 21" Weston TV bought 22 years ago, but so far no problem we have faced with it. It is in an excellent working condition, both in clarity and sound and colour contrast. But only with the help of a remote, we should operate it where as in philips TV, auto channel adjustment, and auto on and off system are there. DVD provision is also there. If we are having a programme of our choice in a particular time and in a particular channel, we can simply set it in our remote and forget about it. Automatically our TV will start on that particular time and in that particular channell. Suppose if the TV is already running in some other channel, in that particular time, it will change itself to that channel which we have set
