When it rains it pours and it gets flooded too? when was the time

you home or your place got flooded or submerged in water? Just now the rain is still currently pouring so hard. ANd the water has started to grow fast and it has started to grow more. i hope the water will not reach inside our home. our house generally has its floor about 3 to 4 feet above the level of the ground on the street or outside the house. so i just hope that with that high elevation that the water will not reach inside the house specially our floor is made of wood parquet and the wood can get damaged when it is soaked in water even in very short time. I can't get out of the house not only of the flood itself but because of the strong wind and rain. And it is starting to get me worried.
