flea allergies BAD

Have you consulted a veterinarian about using k9advantix more than once monthly? She shouldn't still have fleas but perhaps the k9advantix is causing her a problem. My dog is also allergic to fleas. He is a chihuahua, I use Frontline Plus once monthly for 4 mos then stop for 2 months and repeat the cycle. I found a really good shampoo at Walmart of all places...lol It's a bit pricey but works really well and also the conditioner.
