beating addiction  | |  bit of a personal one this but i feel more comfortable on here since i get a lot of support from people. i think i have an addictive personality - used to smoke and have been known to go on alcoholic binges - not all the time i hasten to add and i don't go nuts after having one beer - they were always deliberate attempts to get drunk. now i am never violent or even especially annoying when i did this but the after effects were horrendous. not worth blotting things out briefly for. have you been addicted to anything and how did it affect your life?

 jb78000 (1792) | 3 months ago | well i definitely think that smoking and certain of the harder drugs are very hard indeed to do in moderation. i know some people that do but i also know some people who say they are social smokers but clearly smoke quite a lot - of their friends smokes because they never actually buy any. by the way i have stopped smoking and have stopped overdoing booze (this is not as tricky to do generally, still have a little now and again). | |
