Mylot, the best place to be for people-persons

If I'm not mistaken, the population of mylot when I first joined was only 14,000.
The format was different then, even the rules. It has gone through difficult times and several changes were introduced. I've been away for several years and for different reasons and now I'm back.
I have witnessed the tumultuos times when there were lots of heated discussions and debates, many accounts suddenly disappeared because of violations, spamming, disgusting vocabularies etc. It has changed a lot now and it seems to me that the ones that benefit most are the people-persons. People who enjoy the company of friends and enjoy honest to goodness discussions.
Despite criticisms, mylot is here to stay for it provides an avenue for people to express themselves and find someone to interact with.

Well, I believe in a friendly environtment like this site, the abusive spammers or angry haters won't likely to survive. I am a newbie here and honestly I joined this site for the money. But time after time I realize I also have some fun here, the discussions, friends, you name it! I never found a place which pays you to socialize before lol. So, being here for more than a year, what changes have you notice so far in mylot?
