It's not easy to be on diet, on cutting the foods that we love eat. It's hard to resist, for me the hardest part of being on diet is to watch other people, especially your family eat the foods you avoid. LOL Are you on diet? What the hardest part of it?

1. nvtellan (1270) | 2 months ago | I too am starting to be on a diet. But the hardest part for me is I can keep myself from eating in small amounts. I get hungry easily and when that happens I rummages the cupboards looking for something to eat.. most of the times, junk foods.:(

careguarden (415) | 2 months ago | LOL, that's the worst, you can't resist your self. Great that you keep junk foods on your cup board.huh! Well it's okay to eat a little but not too much, but sometimes when you have it on your hands, it's hard not finished. LOL That's what always happened to me, once I start to eat, it's hard for me to stopped 'til I'm satisfied. How about not trying to stack junk foods your cup board rather replace it healthy foods?

Sometimes I tend to over-eat too when I got really hungry after a day's work or I really like the food in front of me.:(

eating is a pleasure and a need all at the same time..and i just dont like missing out on the fun of it..

Well, like you, the toughest part is when you eat with your family and they eat food that you weren't supposed to eat and to make the matters worse, they eat lots of it. It's really hard to resist especially if you rarely eat together and when its paired with endless talk and laughter as you catch up with what's up with each other and you reminisce the past. If it rarely happen though, I know I will skip diet for that moment.

careguarden (415) | 2 months ago | Yeah, that could also be tough. Especially for the first few days that you cut your food intake, but yeah, it only last for few weeks for adjustment period. That's what I'd experience the first days that I minimize my food intake, I easily get hungry but sometimes I drink a lot of water just to make me full.LOL I do eat lot of fruits.

muscles4me (8500) | 2 months ago | I do not eat alot of fruit as is can add up the total calories alot and fast. I go for a higher proteindiet so its fish and chicken and then protein drinks that are low in carbs, without alot of protein I get weaker and can not lift as heavy.

As you have to make up your mind and mouth watering dishes like burgers, pizza's and cakes can not control me. I can never diet as it is the toughest for me as a am a great great food lover.

| 6. Princebux (70) | 2 months ago | Diet should be a way of life and not a temporarily changes. I am pretty sure that you should start with slow but steady weight loss. Instead of dieting for a period of time and then resume your old eating habit. It just won't work. You will probably gain all the weight you lost steadily after the period of diet is over. I do suggest to cut your calorie intake between 500 - 1500 calorie a day. by changing to a fuller but lower calorie meal here is my example
Breakfast 2 slices of toast, a cup of no sugar black coffee and an apple lunch 1 pack of cereal, 1 banana, 1 hard boiled Egg, 1 pack of 100cal biscuit dinner 100gram of rice, 1 cup of broccoli and cauli flower steamed and 1 hard boiled egg
it will give you around 1200 cal intake daily

I do eat apples because one of friend told me that it's good fruit to lose weight and it makes me full, but I only eat alternately. But when it comes to coffee, I can't drink with no sugar, I always add little. Sometimes I eat a lot but with fruits. But on especially occasions I skip my diet.

What I have about it is the breakfast cereal I have to deal every morning as I want to restrict my rice intake at least 2 times a day. I also tend to forgot I am on a diet when I say some food that I cannot resist. What irrates me the most is that I have restrain myself from eating chocolates (I love dark ones) as that is my favorite. I think I'll be quite depressed even before I lose down weight:(
