DISCLAIMER: THIS DISCUSSION IS NOT A GO AT PEOPLE THAT ARE MAINLY INTERESTED IN WHAT HAPPENS IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY AND IS NOT A GO AT ANY PERSON, GROUP OF PEOPLE OR COUNTRY IN PARTICULAR. IT IS A QUESTION.
how interested are you in events that happen outside your hamlet when they do not directly affect you? do you pay much attention to international politics or issues or prefer to concentrate on local events?
DISCLAIMER REPEATED. IN BOLD.

Yes, I do pay attention to world affairs to some degree, but I'm not overly focused on it as a whole. As someone who's lived and worked in a number of countries now, I end up taking an interest in local affairs whilst in a particular country and then when I move on to a new one, I take that interest with me! I also watch for US based developments regularly because as a person who's paid in USD, I'm influenced heavily by the exchange rates. DISCLAIMER: THE FACT THAT THE US DOLLAR VALUE AGAINST OTHER CURRENCIES SUCKS AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME IS NOT A GO AT AMERICANS IN GENERAL.

we do indeed have to add those disclaimers to everything said in this section. i'd agree that you pay more attention to what is happening in the country you are living in. what countries have you lived in anyway? (i've worked abroad a lot so it stands at the moment as 1 in the americas, 6 in europe and 1 in asia, that's worked, not just visited...)

that's natural. apart from anything else that will be what immediately affects you and over which you may have a bit of control. i'm interested in international affairs anyway but of course some things that happen elsewhere also affect everywhere very quickly too. and there are international issues such as human rights, disasters, and the environment that are important no matter where they occur.

I really like to know what is going on with the rest of the world but, I will admit I don't follow other countries politics closely. I really don't understand other countries politics and "parties" and so to cause less confusions lol I try not to get to involved.

Typical American? Far from it...I never tell anyone from another country to mind their own business in my political discussions

I see all the bold print their, bunny woman lol.
Actually, I'm interested all the way around, as I feel for people...both joy and sorrow. First, family and friends, period. And then my own area, of course, but also national and worldwide politics, cultures...all of it I do find of great interest.

While disclaimer is bigger than question, I have the feeling you want a disclaimer answer. There it is:
CLAIMER: While I care equaly about internal and extrenal politics, I can assume I know both as well as anybody who live alone on any deserted island from Red Sea.
Oh, btw: what happen in States or Brazil or Botswana WILL have effects - more or less - everywhere, sooner or later.
This above sentence I think is answering vague enough to your question
