The End of Summer...

Another summer has come to an end. The weather is beginning to cool down and the leaves are changing. The smell of fall is in the air. Fall is one of my favorite seasons and I am happy to for it to arrive. Yet, at the same time there is one end of summer activity that always brings me down. And that is, packing away my flip flops. Flip Flops are a common staple of summer. You see them on young children all the way up to the elderly. They are comfortable and convenient, you can easily slide them on your feet on they way out the door. They come in every color you could possibly want. As soon as spring comes around I'm running to get my flip flops out, and they stay on my feet well into September. They match every outfit I own, no matter what it is. But, sadly today I had to pack them away into a dark container to spend their winter. I've unpacked my winter boots and put them into my closet. I will wear them, and enjoy them, but not nearly as much as my fun, colorful summer flip flops!
