Philippines was called Monkey Island of Philippines ???

In every country there are rotten eggs amongst the citizenry. I'm sure those statements are not representative of all the Koreans, they came from irresponsible people who has nothing better to do with their lives. LOL I would not worry too much. We have our own share of "monkeys" here and they do have too there. Let them communicate with each other. We just recently read in the newspapers about korean monkeys when one of them was abducted upon arrival at NAIA and was killed later on by another fellow monkey. Fortunately the latter was caught. Let them monkey around. Hahaha. Cheer!

hello Grecy, This isn't surprising, some or most of them are tend to be racist too. i remember this one conversation that i had with a co-worker about Koreans scrutinizing us for our religious beliefs about GOd, most specifically about our way of being forgive from our sins. it was rumored that some said where just being hypocrite and abuse this kind of redemption method of Christianity. These Koreans you mentioned probably had been living in a sheltered life for so long that if that they get attack by the NK, they should surely an crazily freaked out. well, ALL of us were originated from MONKEYS, any one who isn't is an ALIEN for sure...at least probably that's why they wanted to claim i supposed

I have read something entitled "Screaming Monkeys" which is a collection of issues where racist comments against Filipinos were dealt with. There was also this account wherein Gen. Mac Arthur made a very racist comment about Filipninos but, during that time, Filipinos were looking up to him in helping the country in war. Then again, even within any country, there are divisions that would also give good or bad comments to each other. They would often mention it in jokes or just blurt it out as if it a common phrase and everyone would understand. Anyway, a racist comment would often be heard every now and then. Sometimes it boils my blood and at other times, I would just laugh it off and also give a racist comment to that person. I can dish out around five bad things for every single negative remark that they could say. Of course, that's not something to be proud about. We should practice our tolerance to those who are narrow minded. Hopefully they can be informed properly. Honestly, why bother with their idiocy? Yeah, they can group together to make fun about it but, they are still a mentally handicaped group none the less until they start using their heads to view things from a wider perspective. If you can comment bad things to others, others can do the same to you. Most of the time though, more severe than what you said. Unfortunately, from that, one would retort with something worse and it would continue like that..

Now really that's being irresponsibly inhumanely disgusting waylaid group of people on this planet. They can laugh all they can not knowing that there actions will surely boomerang to them. Why? because not all Koreans are like that but most people now will think Koreans are like that. Anyways, we Filipinos will just laugh at something so absurd. And monkeys can swim they just don't like to get their furs wet. How ignorant of them. There are more pressing issues we are going to face than take notice of the things that aren't true and maybe they are really the ones who are monkeying around. Whatever that means. LOL

This is so sad. well, racism is always part of the culture among all of us. we don't need to focus on these things because we all knew that we're different from each other and were not that much of a lover as well with our own people. we are racist ourselves with regards to our fellow filipinos. so, this shouldn't bother us a bit.

The older generations in Korea do not forget the contributions of the Filipinos during World War II and the Korean war. The younger generations do. Instead of flaming the fans of racism amongst your own kabayan, why don't you encourage them to educate the youth of the Philippines and Korea, who do not share the memories of the older generations? after reading all the answers i can't help but laugh LOL I think there is no other way to react to the insult but by laughing it off. BUT not unless you happened to be infront or near where this conversation took place, you would probably end up fist fighting. I am sure though that this conversation came from a group of Koreans who maybe one or two or all of them have one time been insulted also by our fellow kababayan. We dont really know the whole story ..so putting the burden on one side would not be fair.
