I wonder if personal hygiene can be a cause for couples to separate...

I know of someone, still single and have an utter disregard for personal hygiene.
He doesn't brush his teeth, seldom change clothes and even underwear, once in 2 weeks at the most. Not to mention the terrible bodily odor he emits.
I am not sure if he ever gets married, can this be a cause for separation.
It will take a "martyr" kind of a woman who can put up with this.
Any idea?

yes i do believe that personal hygiene can be a cause of divorce, because lack of personal hygiene can lead to diseases that can infect your partner and eventually if they have children it will risk the health of your kids as well. think of it, if one can't take care of themself how can they be able to take care of their partner and their children? this is not a simple issue. it is very important in a relationship also that you and your partner are hygienic and healthy.
