What to prepare in face of a signal #4 typhoon?

I just got a call to brace myself for a coming signal #4 typhoon and possible raised to 5. I will check the roof, charge cellphones, emergency lights. etc. The country has hardly even recovered from the previous one, and now a much stronger typhoon is coming. This is certainly a horrible sign of climatic changes and I hope will serve as a wake up call to many of us. Let us do our part to save our planet. any thoughts?
