2.  owlwings (5117) | 2 months ago |  There are a number of sites who will pay you for Internet searches. Most of them pay you in points of some kind and compensation varies from entry into a draw to using the points earned to buy from their 'stores'. Some of the sites are restricted to people from certain countries and some pay more to members of some countries than to others. This is because they are paid according to advertising revenue and the advertisers are selective about which countries their ads are displayed in.
There are just a few sites who will pay you in cash to a Paypal or other account.
The best site, in my opinion, was MyHomePages friends. They paid over 2p (nearly 4 cents) per search and last year I made over £70 with them. They have changed their name and strategy now (largely because of abuse of their service) and now all the searches you do contribute to a charity of your choice. If that is of interest to you, then let me know and I can send you a link to join under me. To be honest, I use them far less now than I did.
The other site that seems to me worthwhile (though I have not earned enough to be paid yet) is Scour. Their payments are a little less than the (very worthwhile) payments that MyHomepagesFriends made but if searching is something you tend to do a lot of, it would be worthwhile (after all, Google and Yahoo don't pay you, even though they make vast profits through advertising!)
Scour searches are a combination of results from Google, Yahoo and, I believe, Ask. You are paid not only for searching but also for rating the results you are given. Probably the best guide to how they work and what they are about is the FAQ page here: http://scour.com/faq/

| owlwings (5117) | 2 months ago | I am not a great believer in posting 'payment proofs' - they are so easily fictionalised and I believe that, if someone is going to be my referral, they should know enough about me to know that I don't intentionally scam people or lead them astray: if I recommend something, I do so in good faith and in the belief that I have chosen sensibly myself!

I have just read that Scour have now discontinued their reward program (probably because, like so many other Paid To Search programs, they have found misuse of the service by people not making valid and genuine searches has been a BIG problem).
