Do you think life insurance is important?

When I was kid, when parents heard someone they know who died they always asked if that person has life insurance, so to covered all the expenses. So I thought that life insurance is for death, or like expecting for death. But I was wrong it's very important for our future, since we don't know when the angel of death knock our door. Life insurance protect our family and dependent from any medical, legal or funeral costs that they may encounter when we're gone and thus provide them enough money and to continuously receive our financial support through life insurance. So do have any life insurance? do you consider it important in your life?
